Flatshare

The shared pot for your flatshare

Nobody wants to keep the spreadsheet. Everyone adds an expense as it happens, Flishbook keeps the count, and when it is time to settle it tells you who pays back whom — in as few transfers as possible.

Day to day

🏠

The household pot, always up to date

Rent, groceries, cleaning supplies, repairs: each expense goes in within seconds and everyone's balance recalculates on its own. No more running tally stuck to the fridge.

📶

Bills and recurring subscriptions

Internet, electricity, water: log the bill once, pick who it's for, and Flishbook splits everyone's share down to the cent. See at a glance who has already paid their part.

Settle up in one move

When it's time to square things, Flishbook suggests who should pay whom, with the fewest transfers possible. You flish, the other side confirms, and the balance drops back to zero.

What few apps can do

🏦

A real treasury

Not just who owes what: the pool actually holds money. Contributions, expenses paid by the pot, what is left — you always know what is in there.

🤝

Loans between members

Someone covers for someone else? Record the loan: it creates a debt, the borrower confirms it, and it clears with the normal settlements. No interest, nothing forgotten.

🍺

Priced items

Coffee, beers, snacks: set up a catalogue with prices. Everyone helps themselves and declares it with one scan — handy for guests, who leave with their slate up to date.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need a joint bank account?

No. Flishbook is a ledger, not a bank: it never moves money. You settle between yourselves however you like — the app simply says who owes how much to whom.

What if a flatmate moves in mid-year?

You set their arrival date: they share the expenses from that day on, never the earlier ones. The household history stays correct.

Can rent be split unevenly?

Yes. Each person carries a number of shares (a bigger room, a different income) and the split follows those shares, down to the cent.
